Tea Time With Paltrow at Live 8
Next weekend, Gwyneth Paltrow will be serving tea and biscuits at the Live 8 charity show in London to performers backstage.
According to MSN Entertainment, as soon as the Hollywood actress heard her husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, was involved with the event she begged organizers to let her be the tea girl.
Paltrow came up with the idea when remembering Blur frontman Damon Albarn took on the role of tea boy while recording the Christmas single Band Aid 20 last year.
Also, an insider told Britain’s Now magazine: “Gwyneth told Bob Geldof she really wanted to do anything she could to help because she thinks the whole idea is so amazing. She didn’t want him to think she was being pushy or a real ‘rock star’s wife’ – which is why she offered to be a tea girl.”
And what does her husband Chris Martin have to say about all this?
He reminisced about last year’s recording of Band Aid 20: “Damon was incredible. When I saw him I thought he was going to be singing and then he came over and asked me if I wanted a cup of tea.
“He’s this extraordinarily talented artist, but was a brilliant tea boy. He worked non-stop and got every single order right.”
