Mel B Says No To Spice Girls Reunion at Live 8
Former Spice Girls member Mel B doesn’t wannabe a part of a reunion at the Live 8 concert, said organizer Bob Geldof.
“She is doing something in California and has difficulty going back to something she did in the past,” said Geldof on a UK television show.
He is still hopeful that she’ll agree to the July 2 performance in London’s Hyde Park.
“I’ll call her during the week and if she can’t do it, she can’t do it,” said Geldof.
But he says that this is an all or nothing situation and if she doesn’t agree then there would be no reunion.
Mel B, full name Melanie Brown, had previously said that she hopes that the band would reunite in 2006 for their 10 year anniversary. She is currently working on a new solo album in Los Angeles.
Bob Geldof is known for organizing Live Aid, a concert in 1985 that took place simultaneously in London and Philadelphia which raised over $100 million for famine relief in Ethiopia. Live 8 will be held around the world in July.
