Kanye, Nas, Lil Jon Part of Toronto Hip Hop Fest
The biggest hip hop event Canada has ever seen is coming to Toronto in August.
“Marc Ecko’s Getting Up Festival” will feature live performances over two days from: Kanye West, Ludacris, Nas, Lil Jon, Busta Rhymes, Swollen Members, Kardinal Offishall, Rascalz, Brooke Valentine, Ciara and Melanie Durrant.
The fest is being organized by Marc Ecko, the man behind the Ecko clothing line, with help from music director Lil X.
It’s more than just a concert. There will also be a car show, graffiti expo, art and fashion museums, b boy and MC battles, fashion shows, “the next Video Vixen” contest, collectible and novelty vendors, retail outlets, interactive gaming lounges, DJ sets and more.
It’s all going down August 13 and 14 at Toronto’s Polson Street Pier (The Docks). Tickets are on sale June 11, starting at $49.50 for a one day pass, through Ticketmaster and most Athlete’s World stores.
This is where you want to be in August. You won’t find anything bigger.
