Oasis has been away from the game for three years, but they returned in a big way this week, and a Gallagher shoving match is not even the reason.

Their new single, “Lyla,” which is not named after Britney Spears’ failed “Nyla” restaurant, went to number 1 this week on the U.K. singles charts, their first since 2002’s “The Hindu Times” and seventh ever.

The track can be heard on their forthcoming album “Don’t Believe the Truth,” out May 30.

The song beats Akon’s “Lonely,” which was number 1 for 2 weeks, and Black Eyed Peas’ “Don’t Phunk With My Heart,” which opens at number 3.
