‘Hothead’ Apprentice Contestant Arrested
In one of those how-stupid-do-you-have-to-be-stories, a contestant still in the running on The Apprentice has been arrested.
Christopher Shelton was arrested Saturday night in Tampa, and charged with disorderly conduct. He allegedly was furious when he tried to get into a nightclub at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and they wanted to charge him $20. Don’t they know who he is? He’s going to be a star for at least another week!
Police say Shelton yelled and cursed in the lobby, and people witnessing his diva fit were “visibly shaken.” There was no evidence of tears coming from Shelton or the patrons.
He spent the night in jail and was released on a $250 bond Sunday morning.
Donald Trump has called Shelton a “hothead.”
With six weeks left, it is not unreasonable to wonder if this was a ratings stunt. Though it?s probably tough to fake an arrest.
Shelton had gathered with other Apprentice contestants to celebrate the birthday of John Gafford. Gafford said arresting his opponent was ludicrous, but said he didn’t see the incident.
