Yahoo to Offer More Email Storage Space
Stop deleting your emails to make more space, Yahoo Mail users.
The search engine-turned-email provider has announced that it has increased free storage space on Yahoo Mail to 1 GB from 250 MB. That’s four times the amount for those who are missing their computer byte calculators.
For those keeping score at home, that’s the third time Yahoo has increased free storage in the past year. Are they feeling generous? Not exactly. They are hoping to compete with GMail?the soon to be released email service provided by Google?and Hotmail, which each offered more space than the 10MB Yahoo used to offer.
Users will see a difference in their accounts at the end of April or early May.
