Not Guilty Robert Blake Wants Work
Robert Blake may have been found not guilty, but the “Baretta” actor needs work.
The court costs and lawyers fees ended up costing Blake $10 million and he says he is broke.
“I’m broke. I need a job,” he told reporters after a Los Angeles jury found him not guilty of killing his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley.
But Blake will be busy going through another trial.
A civil trial will begin July 7. The family of Bakley has filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against the actor.
Such a move is not uncommon. When O.J. Simpsons was found not guilty of murdering his wife and her friend, he was tried in a civil court and found liable for their deaths.
