When Mario started working on his sophomore release, he had the seemingly improbable task of trying to create a track that would top his breakthrough hit “Just a Friend.”

If he had any worries, they were for nothing, since “Let Me Love You,” the first single off “Turning Point,” sat at the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100 for over two months.

And did Mario expect that song to become so big? “I didn’t really think the song was a single at first,” he says.
