Omarion Tops Chart with Solo Album
Omarion has found success post-B2K.
The R&B singer tops this week’s Billboard album chart, seeing his solo album, “O,” debut in first.
He sold about 182,000 copies of the album in the U.S., over 70,000 more copies than Ray Charles’ “Genius Loves Company,” last week’s chart topper and this week’s second highest selling album.
Omarion had never seen an album debut in first when he was a member of B2K. The highest they got on the chart was second.
Green Day and The Game follow at 3 and 4 respectively.
Tori Amos’ latest, “The Beekeeper,” debuts in fifth.
John Legend continues to impress, seeing his “Get Lifted” debut improve to sixth place.
Rounding out the top 10 are the compilation “Kidz Bop 7,” Eminem’s “Encore,” 3 Doors Down’s “Seventeen Days,” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway.”
