Usher is set to become the third members of the hip hop community to own part of an NBA franchise.
Usher is part of a group that is preparing to purchase the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team of the young sensation LeBron James.
The group will buy the team for $375 million, according to ESPN and MTV, although Usher’s stake is thought to be minimal.
Nelly owns part of the Charlotte Bobcats. Jay Z is part of a group that owns the New Jersey Nets. They hope to relocate the team to Brooklyn.
