Punk-pop fans will be excited, while other will cringe, when they learn that two of the genre’s most popular bands will be hitting the road together.

Good Charlotte and Simple Plan will begin a tour on May 3 in Kansas City, according to MTV.

It is expected to last through June.

The two bands previously toured together in 2002 while both were on the verge of breaking out into the mainstream.
