P2P users around the globe have already begun to trade 50 Cent’s latest album, The Massacre, forcing his label to move the original release date of March 8, 2005, up to March 3, 2005.
“Fans want instant gratification, especially when they are fiending for my music. They’ll even risk buying the wrong sh** from bootleggers. I want them to have the real thing as soon as possible,” 50 Cent said in a press release.
Originally scheduled for a February release, the album was pushed back to a March release in order to get his single onto the radio.
“The Massacre” includes appearances by G-Unit, The Game, Olivia and Jamie Foxx. It was produced by Dr. Dre, Eminem and 50.
250,000 limited edition packages will be available that include a special CD key to unlock exclusive content, which includes a bonus track, a trailer for 50′s upcoming video game and some photographs. 10 fans will also win G-Unit clothing and footwear, Formula 50 Vitamin Water, a G-Unit dog tag and an autographed 50 photo.
