Victoria and David Beckham, the UK’s biggest celebrities, gave birth to their third child Saturday.

They named the baby boy Cruz, meaning “cross” in Spanish, and usually a surname (could this be a way to increase his fans as he plays for Real Madrid?).

However, it is also an old Christian name for “girls.” This boy’s going to get teased on the playgrounds.

But he’ll probably be richer than all the other kids combined. His father, David Beckham, is the most famous soccer player in the world. His mother used to be that famous; now she’s just a former Spice Girl.

Their other two sons also have interesting and unusual named. Their first son, 5-year-old Brooklyn, was named after the city he was conceived in. Son number two is named Romeo, and he’s two years old.

Cruz weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces. He was delivered by Caesarean section at the Ruber International Hospital in Madrid.

“He’s beautiful and he’s in there with his brothers,” said Beckham. “He’s a healthy little boy and his mum is very well so we’re a happy family. He’s got Victoria’s lips and nose. He’s gorgeous.”

So David, where will little Cruz play soccer when he’s old enough?

“He was born here, but we?ll see,” he said. “England will be the preference, but you never know.”
