Michael Jackson Released from Hospital
Michael Jackson worried his fans when he entered a Santa Maria hospital earlier this week, delaying his trial where he is accused of child molestation.
Jackson was released from the Marian Medical Center on Wednesday. He was suffering from the flu.
Judge Rodney Melville postponed the trial until February 22 when he consulted with doctors about Jackson’s condition on Tuesday. The jury selection process had resumed Monday after it had been delayed a week after the death of defense attorney Thomas Mesereau Jr.’s sister.
A physician said Jackson would need to spend Wednesday night in hospital, but Jackson ended up leaving that night.
A spokesperson for Jackson said he is resting at his Neverland Ranch. He is still being monitored by doctors.
The trial could last six months. Jackson has pleaded not guilty to 10 counts.
