There are some familiar faces entering the performance list for the 77th Academy Awards. Beyonce Knowles, Josh Groban, and the Counting Crows are set to perform at the Oscars.

Beyonce and Groban will perform the nominated song ?Believe? from the Tom Hanks computer animated film ?The Polar Express.”

Counting Crows will perform their pop chart hit and nominated song ?Accidentally in Love? from “Shrek 2,” which was nominated for best animated feature.

Look for Beyonce?s multi-appearances as her second performance (accompanied by the American Boys Choir), will include a rendition of ?Look to Your Path? from the film ?The Chorus?, and ?Learn to Be Lonely? from ?Andrew Lloyd Webber?s The Phantom of the Opera?.

Those of you who watched last year?s ?Lord of the Rings? commanding award-winning achievements know among them was Annie Lennox?s powerful performance of her Academy Award winning song ?Into the West.” I only mention it for it exemplifies a clear winner that was head and shoulders better than the competition, whereas in this case it?s anyone?s award and it should be interesting who emerges victorious,

The Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2004 will be presented on Sunday, February 27, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland. The Oscars will be televised live by the ABC Television Network at 5 p.m. PST / 8 p.m. EST, beginning with a half-hour arrivals segment.
