Five artists, who don’t seem to have an obvious link, will open the 2005 Grammy Awards with one long, connected performance.

The Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani (with Eve), Maroon 5, Franz Ferdinand, and Los Lonely Boys will perform across three stages, Grammy organizers announced yesterday.

Also added to the surprise, no surprise, Usher.

New presenters include Kris Kristofferson, Matthew McConaughey, Lisa Marie Presley and Charlie Sheen.

The Grammys will be handed out Sunday.
