American Dad to Debut after Super Bowl

Fans of Family Guy have to wait until May 1 when the series is revived, but they will get a sense of familiarity Sunday after the Super Bowl with the premiere of “American Dad.”
Seth McFarlane, the co-creator of both Family Guy and American Dad, plays Stan Smith, a CIA agent and protective father of two.
There are many similarities to Family Guy. Instead of the talking baby and the talking dog, American Dad has a space alien and German-speaking goldfish living in the house.
But when it airs Sunday, it’s only a tease. The second episode doesn’t air until May 1, when it airs with Family Guy.
American Dad will debut right after the Super Bowl on Fox (approximately 10:30 p.m.).
