JK Rowling, the astronomically successful author of the Harry Potter series, gave birth to a baby girl on Monday. She named her third child Mackenzie.
She wrote on her web site that she and husband Neil Murray are “absolutely delighted.”
“She is ridiculously beautiful, though I suppose I might be biased,” she wrote.
“Thank you all so very much for your kind congratulations on various fan sites, they mean more than you can know.”
The sixth Harry Potter book is due out in the summer.
