Michael Jackson to Speak on TV
Michael Jackson, involved in a child molestation case beginning January 31, issued a videotaped statement that is to be televised and was interviewed by Geraldo Rivera for Fox News.
Although there is a gag order on the case, as the judge asked all parties involved to refrain from speaking to the media, Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville allowed Jackson to appear this one time.
Fox News has not decided when to air the statement and interview. A spokesperson said the channel had not yet reviewed the footage.
The interview, the AP reports, dealt with Jackson?s personal life, not the case.
Jackson felt it was necessary to address the public after his accuser?s grand jury testimony was leaked to ABC News last week.
