Seal’s proposal to his supermodel girlfriend, Heidi Klum, atop a glacier was a “unique experience,” she wrote on her web site.

“We affianced on a glacier in Whistler. We reached this beautiful place by helicopter one day before Christmas Eve,” she wrote.

Klum and Seal, the singer most famous for the Grammy-winning hit song “Kiss from a Rose,” started dating last year.

He’s also nominated for a Grammy this year in the male pop vocal category for the song “Love?s Divine.”

Klum, the swimsuit and lingerie model, was married to hairstylist Ric Pipino for 5 years, and broke up with Renault Formula One head Flavio Briatore last year. Klum and Briatore have one daughter, Leni, who was born in May of last year.
