More Celebrities Donate for Tsunami Relief
After Sandra Bullock?s sizeable $1 million donation to the Red Cross for the Southeast Asia tsunami relief, more celebrities have stepped up and donated money.
Jay Leno announced on his show yesterday that he would be auctioning off a Harley Davidson motorcycle autographed by the late night host and his guests. The proceeds will go to the Red Cross.
Leonardo DiCaprio is donating a large sum to Unicef. DiCaprio filmed ?The Beach? in 2000 on a Thai Island that sustained massive damage.
A concert in Wales is being held for the end of January that will feature U2, Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand and other rockers. Willie Nelson will headline a similar event Sunday night in Austin, Texas.
Olivia Newton-John, Boy George, and Robin and Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees are teaming up to record a single that is aimed to raise money.
NBC is planning a network special that will feature celebrities asking people to donate. U.S. networks organized a similar program after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
