Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets proposed to LaLa Vasquez, an MTV VJ, on Christmas Day, according to reports, and the two are officially engaged.

Anthony denied the engagement last week, but released a statement saying he wasn?t ready for the world to know.

In November, Anthony was in the news when three men were arrested for trying to extort $3 million from the second year star. Anthony was allegedly in the bar fight defending Vasquez.
