Stars Return for Ocean’s Twelve
Movie executives are expecting Ocean’s Twelve to be the biggest box office draw of the season, and with more A-list stars than any other movie in theatres, it’s not an unreasonable task.
First, there’s George Clooney who plays Danny Ocean, perhaps the most important character in the movie. He has to make back the millions he stole from a casino owner (in Ocean’s Eleven) with the help of all his friends in a matter of a few days. Why? Not sure. How? You’ll see. Why such little time? See the movie.
The casino-owner- that’s Andy Garcia. The women they fought over in the first movie, who’s back again- a pregnant Julia Roberts.
Then there’s a cop who tries to bring them down, a newcomer to the series, Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Among the pack of robbers, yet the “good guys” in the movie, are Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Carl Reiner, Don Cheadle, and Elliott Gould. They help pull off three heists in Europe.
Also showing up along the way are Bruce Willis, Topher Grace Bernie Mac, Eddie Izzard, and Casey Affleck.
Ocean’s Thirteen? Makes sense, that is, if people flock to see this movie as producers are hoping. With star after star after star, it’s a probability.
The actors have all said in interviews that they loved being on the set, with all the practical jokes being played.
Nobody is sure how the director, Steven Soderbergh, kept everyone under control.
But he did, and they have Ocean’s Twelve to show for it, in theatres this weekend.
