If it’s an honour just to be nominated, many artists will be happy Tuesday morning when the Grammy nominations are announced.

Nelly, Kanye West, Hoobastank, the Black Eyes Peas, and Joss Stone will be on hand to read some of the list.

Those artists can expect to pick up some nominations if history prevails. In past years, John Mayer and Avril Lavigne have been among the artists chosen to announce the list, and both picked up quite a few nominations. While Mayer picked up Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in 2002, Lavigne was shut out: 0 for 5.
