Dan Rather to Leave CBS News
After going through a mini scandal that some called Rather-gate, CBS News anchor Dan Rather will resign in March, he said today.
?I have been lucky and blessed over these years to have what is, to me, the best job in the world and to have it at CBS News,” he said.
He will remain as a correspondent for 60 Minutes.
Rather was blamed for a report in September that featured unauthentic documents relating to George Bush?s military service.
However, Rather said he decided to leave the news desk in the summer, and decided to make the announcement after the election.
Tom Brokaw, the anchor of NBC?s nightly news program, will also leave in December.
