An artist from Quebec making it big in other provinces brings one person to mind: Celine Dion. Rarely does anything of French culture become tolerable outside of Quebec. People in Ontario are too arrogant to even admit their love for poutine (that’s fries with gravy if you legitimately don’t know).

But Projet Orange will try do what the other Quebec artists hardly ever try: succeed outside of La Belle Province. And for brothers Jean-Christophe and Jean-Sebastien Boies, it’s not about culture. It’s about rock music. They just want to get heard.

Projet Orange spoke with andPOP on a recent trip to Toronto. Watch the interview to hear their thoughts on cultures, their album Megaphobe, overcoming illness, pronouncing their name, and much more.
