Skye Sweetnam Making Noise Around the World
Bolton, Ontario, is not known for producing world famous musicians. No disrespect to the small community, but their energy show and tree seedling program are some of the highlights for the 20,000 Boltonians (or is it Boltonites?).
And then Skye Sweetnam came along and changed everything.
Sweetnam, 16, recorded her debut album in a basement in Bolton. Appropriately named “Noise from the Basement,” Sweetnam has toured all over Japan, has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and possessed the coveted opening spot on Britney Spears’ recent tour.
Sweetnam spoke to andPOP on a recent trip to Toronto. Watch the interview to hear speak about life away from Bolton, recording her album, having an evil Canadian Idol judge as a manager, getting discovered at a hairdresser, and much more.
