Voice of Bart Simpson Coming to Toronto
Nancy Cartwright, best known as the voice of Bart Simpson, will premiere her one woman show, “My Life as a Ten Year Old Boy” in Toronto next weekend.
She will discuss being seldom recognized, yet having one of the most famous voices.
The Emmy winner is also the voice of Ralph Wiggum, Nelson Muntz, Kearney, and Todd Flanders from the Simpsons, Chuckie from Rugrats, and Mindy from Animaniacs.
Also on hand will be David Silverman, the original Simpsons director. He will share some behind-the-scenes stories and fascinating character drawing demonstrations.
If you are a real Simpsons fan, you will be at the John Bassett Theatre on Saturday, Oct. 16 for one of the two shows (2 p.m. and 8 p.m.).
For tickets, visit ticketmaster.ca, and for more information, visit SimpsonsMania.com.
This is a show not to be missed.
But wait, there’s more! 250 original animator’s drawings and hand-painted cels used in creating a number of classic episodes will be for sale in what orgnizers are calling the largest collection of Simpsons art ever displayed and sold in Canada.
The art show and sale is in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (across the hall from the John Bassett Theatre) from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. and admission is free (the art show and sale is Saturday as well).
David Silverman will be signing art purchased at the event.
There’s also a book signing featuring Chris Turner, author of the soon to be released “Planet Simpson.” Turner will be signing copies of his book from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
