NBC Gives Joey Full Season
While it isn’t getting the ratings that its predecessor Friends earned, Joey has become a hit show for NBC this season. The network rewarded Matt LeBlanc and the show by ordering a full season worth of shows.
Networks usually wait until after the first few episodes of a new show have aired to measure the ratings, and to see if it’s worth it to pick up a show for a whole season.
With ratings hovering around 18 million people, NBC made the announcement Friday. The show is only second in the 18-49 ratings to another NBC show, Will & Grace.
Joey airs Thursday nights.
