It’s fine to associate Kimberley Locke with American Idol now. After all, that’s where she built up the majority of her fan base. And had it not been for Idol, in which she became the second runner-up, Locke would be in law school, en route to making the world a better place with one more lawyer.
With the release of her debut album earlier this year, “One Love,” Locke welcomes the Idol association. But in 10 years, she hopes music lovers will see past the competition and people will stop asking her what she really thinks of Simon!
Locke took some time in Toronto to talk to andPOP. Watch the interview to hear her thoughts on making her album, her hit singles, living with Clay Aiken, being on a country label but singing no country music, and much more.
