Wyclef Jean Honours Haiti with Album

Wyclef Jean’s latest release,
“Sak Pas? Presents: Welcome To Haiti Creole 101,” has been a few years in the making, but with Haiti celebrating its 200th Anniversary this year, the artist felt the time was just right.
Jean created the album not just to celebrate his native land, but to make a difference to people going through the same afflictions.
“I want it to bring a sense of peace and calmness in Haiti and a sense of inspiration for all refugees,” he told andPOP. “Outside of Haiti, you have this big Refugee market and the story is the same; the story of struggle, and no matter what you go through, you can overcome it.”
Jean spoke to andPOP about the album, plans for his next album, artists he’s working with, and of course, The Fugees. This is the interview where Wyclef Jean revealed that The Fugees are getting back together.
