Mark McGrath to Host Extra
The star becomes the star chaser, as Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath joins Extra. The singer will co-host Extra with longtime host Dayna Devon beginning September 13.
McGrath will not just co-host, but he will also attend Hollywood functions and interview the stars. He very well then might drop his microphone and stroll the red carpet himself.
Sugar Ray peaked in 1999, when their album went three-times platinum. Their latest albums have not been as commercially successful.
According to the band’s web site, they will release a new album in 2005.
“I’ve lived in the spotlight,” he told Billboard. “I know what these people are going through.”
McGrath has previously appeared on such shows as North Shore and Las Vegas.
