Like he did two years ago, Alejandro Sanz dominated the 2004 Latin Grammy Awards, handed out Thursday night in Los Angeles.

The Spanish singer won Male Pop Vocal Album, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year for “No Es Lo Mismo,” the album and single which go by the same name.

However, Sanz was on tour and did not attend the show, which was broadcast all over the world.

Maria Rita, a jazz singer from Brazil, won two awards for New Artist of the Year and MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira) Album.

David Bisbal joined Jessica Simpson in a steamy opening number that would make Nick Lachey blush.

Los Lonely Boys and Santana performed a cover of “La Bumba.”
