Tea Party Make Their First ‘Happy’ Album
Listening to the Tea Party’s ninth album, you can picture Jeff Martin finally smiling.
For years, Martin, the lead singer of one of Canada’s most successful domestic artists, has had the image of being ominous; black clothes, always a serious face, an unmistakeable moustache.
However with the release of “Seven Circles,” Martin admits that this may just be the first “happy” Tea Party album, because for the first time, he’s happy.
Martin, drummer Jeff Burrows, and bassist Stuart Chatwood, sat down with andPOP in Toronto to discuss the new album. Watch the interview to hear what they say about a change in sound, being successful in the U.S., working with Scott Stapp of Creed, and Martin’s unbeef with Sum 41.
