Jay-Z Wins Early at MTV VMAs
Jay-Z, who only had won one MTV VMA before this year, is already the night’s big winner, picking up four trophies.
Three awards came during the red carpet pre-show, as he won Best Direction, Best Editing and Best Cinematography for his controversial “99 Problems” video.
He later won the Best Rap Video Award.
However, in the heavily sought after Best Male Award, Jigga lost out to Usher and his “Yeah” video.
Jay-Z previously won for “Can I Get A” in 1999.
The awards are being handed out in Miami, where nominees arrived by yacht.
