Evidence in Michael Jackson Case Permitted
Michael Jackson’s child molestation case has gotten more confusing. The judge in the Santa Maria case allowed some evidence into the trial, but the contents remain a secret.
Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville also said he might ban other items from the trial, but would not elaborate.
39 pieces of evidence, labelled only by numbers, were admitted Monday.
The AP reports that data from a previous search warrant suggests the evidence could be recordings with a child’s voice on a tape.
He said no ruling was final and would listen to arguments starting September 16.
The trial is set to begin January 31. Jackson, who was not in court Monday, is free on bail.
