They seldom get mentioned in North America, but news that David Beckham and wife Victoria are expecting another child is front page news in the UK.

David, the Real Madrid soccer superstar, and Victoria, formerly Posh Spice in the Spice Girls, announced that they are expected their third child in March.

They have two children previously: Brooklyn, 5, and Romeo, 2.

Rebecca Loos, a former “personal aide” to the couple, claimed that she had an affair with David. He denied those claims and the couple stayed together, but Loos became a household name. Things didn’t get easier when Beckham left Manchester United to play in Spain and Victoria refused to move, instead focusing on her singing career.

“This is fantastic news. We are both absolutely delighted. We are planning to have the baby in Spain,” the couple said in a statement.
