Harry Potter Series to Die at Seven, but Will Harry?
Will Harry Potter survive, or die with the famed book series? Author J.K. Rowling revealed that she will write a seventh book, but it will be the last in the Harry Potter series.
Speaking in front of hundreds in Edinburgh, Rowling said Potter “will survive to book seven, mainly because I don’t want to be strangled by you lot, but I don’t want to say whether he grows any older than that.”
She also read parts of her latest novel, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the fifth in the series.
She told the crowd of about 500, gathered at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, that she is writing the sixth book now, but has already written the final novel of the seventh book.
She posted a transcript of her speech on her web site, presumably to avoid any rumours or confusion, as she has done in the past.
