Microsoft, Apple to Launch Online Music Stores in Denmark
Looking to jump on the growing Danish market for online music, Apple plans to launch its iTunes music store in Denmark sometime in October, however its launch celebration may be overshadowed by Microsoft. Microsoft plans to launch MSN Music just days before Apple’s announcement.
Microsoft isn’t saying much about their music offerings or the store itself.
“I can’t tell you who our partners are, and I can’t tell you what individual songs will cost. These elements are all in the final planning stages right now,” said MSN Denmark director Jens Lern?.
Apple is quite aware of Microsofts big announcement, but isn’t scared.
“Our product is incredibly user-friendly, and our success on the online music market will be aided along by our music playback technology iPod,” said Apple Denmark product director Henrik Ryle.
Unfortunately, Canada is still waiting for iTunes.
