Kobe Bryant’s unnamed accuser, who is now 20, has files a civil lawsuit against the basketball superstar. Like the criminal charge, his accuser alleges Bryant raped her last year in Eagle County, Colorado.

The accuser, who went by the name of “Jane Doe” in the suit, seeks an unspecified monetary amount. The AP reports she is seeking at leas $75,000 and her lawyers want a jury trial.

Since the civil suit is filed while the criminal case is still ongoing, some wonder if the criminal case can ever happen. This could help Bryant’s lawyers argue that all she wants is money.

A spokesperson for the Eagle County District told Reuters that the criminal case will still start on August 27.
