We Want More Roselyn Sanchez!
After all of the various beauties that grace the pages of major magazines, featured on television, and captivate audiences with their stunning radiance at the box office, where is Roselyn Sanchez? The Puerto Rican beauty, a former Miss Puerto Rico & Miss America Petite, has not been used the way she should be in Hollywood, and that my friends is?more frequently! With her long raven-black hair, dark bronzed skin, deep brown eyes and all the curves in the world, Roselyn?s natural beauty still continues to shine bright. We loved her lingerie scenes in Rush Hour 2, her alluring photos from Stuff Magazine, and although a major flop, her eye-catching scenes in Boat Trip made the film watchable. In the mid-90?s, the Latin knockout nailed a spot as a dancer and eventual co-host of Que Vacilon, the #1 variety show in Puerto Rico, which increased her widespread fame throughout her homeland.
More importantly, she earned a spot on the soap opera, As the World Turns, as Pilar Domingo, marking the first Latina role in the 50-year history of the soap opera in the late 90?s. She also had a brief stint on the short-lived television series? Fame LA and Ryan Caulfield: Year One, but why has she not made the cross-over into a top ten Hollywood bombshell ?It? girl? Have ?bombs? like Basic and Chasing Papi really reasons to not give serious attention to this voluptuous vixen?
With the wave of Latin women making their waves in the realm of entertainment (Salma Hayek, Elsa Benitez, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Eva Mendes, to name a few) I believe Roselyn should grab a piece of the pie. She is a talent that should not be overlooked, nor underappreciated. An extremely multi-talented actress (she is also a singer and dancer) Roselyn has not been considered for some of the most prestigious roles in Hollywood. Instead, between her frequent visits to NY, LA and Puerto Rico, she maintains her love of music with the intentions of releasing a record in the near future.
She also has plans to develop a musical based on a multi-talented young woman who leaves Puerto Rico for New York. With Roselyn planning to portray the lead role, the lead?s life and persona can be compared, to the untrained eye of course, to be based loosely on the experiences of Ms. Sanchez herself. I for one look forward to any and all appearances and performances that this young woman has to offer.
