Tom Cruise returns this weekend in Collateral and makes a star out of Jamie Foxx while he’s at it.

Collateral is getting mixed reviews, but some critics are raving about it. The movie is said to be a twist to Cruise’s career, usually playing the good-nice guy. Foxx meanwhile becomes a breakout star. The movie is a far fetch from Bootie Call, and will lead in nicely to his next film, Ray, based on Ray Charles.

Cruise plays Vincent, a hired assassin who gets into the cab driven by Max, played by Foxx. The ride continues, hit by hit.
