The judge in the Kobe Bryant case has expanded a gag order after lawyers for his accuser spoke on national television.

According to a report, the lawyers said she is rethinking her participation in the criminal trial, which is fast approaching. Comments like that could sway the public one way or the other, which would not be beneficial when it times to pick the jurors.

Terry Ruckriegle, the District Judge, issued the order Wednesday, saying he is concerned about the process of a “fair trial.”

Bryant faces rape charges in Colorado. The incident dates back to last summer, when Bryant said he had consensual sex with a hotel employee.

Meanwhile, prosecutors said Thursday that they are going forward with their case because they are confident. Attorneys John Clune and Lin Wood had said they were worried that mistakes from the court could effect the case.
