There’s a collection of songs aimed to influence voters to bring down President Bush, now there is a tour. It’s not called the Anti-Bush tour, rather the “Vote for Change” tour, bur the message is clear. Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, and James Taylor are set to tour in October to several U.S. cities as part of the tour.

Also taking part are the Dixie Chicks, who have not held back their displeasure in the current President.

Ohio, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Michigan, Iowa, Florida, Wisconsin and Minnesota will host concerts, with different performers in each city.

John Fogerty, R.E.M, John Mellencamp, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Keb’ Mo, Babyface, Jurassic 5, Death Cab for Cutie and Bright Eyes will also perform as part of the tour.

Springsteen, who is one of the organizers, said on his web site, “I feel like I couldn’t have written the music I’ve written, and been on stage singing about the things that I’ve sung about for the last twenty five years and not take part in this particular election.”

Proceeds will go to the America Coming Together, which is involved in persuading voters to vote for John Kerry.
