A Delay to Google IPO?
People hoping to get rich quick — whether or not that will happen — might have to wait a little longer. The initial public offering of Google stocks may be delayed a week.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the stock could be delayed because of problems registering institutional investors.
The complex system of auctioning the IPOs may be causing delays, according to the report.
Google’s IPO has been rumoured for months, but it appears likely that it will finally hit the stock markets at the end of August. Though usually a more quiet time for IPO launches, the search engine and news listing company has created so much buzz that everything people assume could be wrong. The stocks are expected to start at over $100.
