Nelly Furtado, Jully Black, and Melanie Durrant all have something in common, and it’s more than just being successful Canadian singers. Each one of them performed at the annual Honey Jam event early in their careers. In fact, that’s precisely the location where Furtado met Chris Smith, who would later become her manager.

The Honey Jam: Part XII takes place this year at The Phoenix in Toronto on Sunday, August 15. Michie Mee will host the event, which will feature such up and comers as Jocelyn Mercer, Andrea Desiree Lewis, Joy Lapps, Masia One, and Kellylee Evans. Toya Alexis of Canadian Idol fame, former Popstars contestant Queen Cee, and Saskatchewan all-girl rock group Surface are also set to perform.

DJs MelBoogie and Gunz & Rozez will close out the show.
