Simpsons to Reveal a Homersexual
The upcoming season of The Simpsons will have a little surprise, as one of the cartoon characters will come out of the closet and marry his or her gay partner.
Al Jean, producer of the show, spoke at a comic book convention over the weekend where he revealed that one of the characters is gay. He said to raise money, Springfield legalizes gay marriage. Homer becomes a minister and marries the couple.
“A long-time character comes out of the closet, but I’m not saying who,” Jean said.
The obvious person would be Waylon Smithers, Mr. Burns trusty sidekick, who has been seen on a gay cruise, purchasing dolls, and fanaticizing about his male boss. That might be a little too obvious though. Some speculation is that it is in fact two people: Lenny and Carl, Homer’s co-workers, who always seem to be spending time together. Another not so far fetched guess is Lisa. Think about it.
Meanwhile, the upcoming season of The Simpsons will feature many high-profiled guest stars including rapper 50 Cent, Ray Romano, and Kim Cattrall.
