Moore Wants Bush at Fahrenheit Screening
Will the star of Fahrenheit 9/11 finally meet the director? Probably not, but Michael Moore, the mastermind behind the anti-Bush film has invited President Bush to a screening of the documentary at Bush’s home county.
When no theatres in Crawford, Texas were showing Fahrenheit 9/11, Moore offered a copy to the Crawford Peace House, a place dedicated to peace. He said he would come and discuss the movie after the patrons had a chance to watch it.
Moore posted a message on his web site inviting Bush to the screening on Wednesday.
“If you graciously accept my invitation, I will also have the chance to thank you personally for being one of my Axis of Actors who star in the film,” he wrote. “And let’s face it — you’ve got the funniest lines in the film! We may even have an audience reading of ‘My Pet Goat’ to celebrate ‘Fahrenheit 9/11′ breaking through the $100 million mark at the box office.”
The White House has not commented, but don’t expect Bush to take time out of his holiday to attend. “Now watch this drive.”
