Title Announced for Next Star Wars Movie
The third Star Wars prequel will be called “Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith.”
A representative from Lucas Films was present at the Comic-Con International in San Diego where he made the announcement by revealing what was written on his shirt.
Past titles have received mixed reaction from the movie series’ diehard fans, but fans in attendance erupted with applause.
George Lucas will bring back Hayden Christensen to play Anakin Skywalker and Ewan McGregor to play Obi-Wan Kenobi. The movie will explain how Skywalker’s transition into the evil Darth Vader.
The film is set to be released on May 19, 2005.
“Let the debate begin,” said fan relations head Steve Sansweet, who made the announcement in front of about 6500 fans.
