Halle Berry in Catwoman Nothing to Purr About
With an A-list star in Halle Berry, action, and superheroes, how could Catwoman fail? If the movie’s boring.
in the movie, Berry plays Patience Prince, who is transformed into a ferocious cat who has incredible speed, fast reflexes, and of course the senses of a cat. Is she a hero or a villain?
With the success of Spiderman, the producers of Catwoman, which comes out today, hoped to continue the superhero-movie success. They still might bank off their success, but so far the critics have been nasty.
The National Post gave it a measly half star, saying the movie “should be fixed” and it betrayed the trust of the viewer.
The Dallas Voice gave it a “C” and said there’s some fun to watching the movie, “if you overlook the bad stuff.”
The headline in the Houston Chronicle read, “Brush with ‘Catwoman’ may cause a bad reaction.”
The San Francisco Examiner actually gave it 3 stars, but called it “silly.”
Most reviews point out that Sharon Stone, who plays Laurel Hedare, hasn’t been better since Basic Instinct.
But don’t take the critics word for it- they didn’t like A Night at the Roxbury!
